LIBRARIAN

Hello!

I am a recent graduate of the School of Information at UT Austin, where I received my Master of Science in Information Studies with a focus in librarianship. In undergrad, I studied Spanish and Communication Sciences and Disorders with the hope of become a Speech Pathologist for Spanish speakers. However, learning about the class and racial inequities that effect language learning and retention inspired me to work with this issue on a structural level rather than an individual level. Libraries have profoundly impacted my life, and I believe that great libraries (and librarians!) can play an important role in adult and youth literacy, community engagement, and social justice. I am currently seeking employment in a position that encourages creativity, curiosity, and flexibility!

In my free time, I love reading sci-fi, playing with my cat, trying new foods, and visiting historic sites.
